Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) said that it would build a platform for researching and developing medical artificial intelligence startups with GE Healthcare Korea.
SNUBH will accelerate establishing a platform optimized for the R&D of medical AI companies based on GE Healthcare's Edison Digital Health Platform.
Notably, in the process of data processing necessary for artificial intelligence development, the hospital and GE Healthcare will build an environment that can quickly and effectively process higher-quality medical data and use the analyzed results using the technology and capabilities possessed by the two parties.
In addition to the acceleration and advancement of technology development, SNUBH and GE Healthcare agreed to provide advice and coaching support for companies to enter the global market, including Korea, successfully.
"We expect this agreement to play an important role in completing the support system for the entire business cycle that makes innovative research ideas and technologies a reality," SNUBH President and CEO Paik Nam-jong said. "The hospital will do its best to create an industrial ecosystem where various innovative medical technologies and companies are born and developed."
Khang Sung-wook, GE Healthcare President & CEO AKA and ASEAN, said, "This collaboration is the first introduction of the Edison digital health platform to external developers in Korea and will be a good case for efficiently developing and deploying AI models."
The company will do its best for the successful introduction and utilization of the platform, Khang added.
